The Corporate Hockey Challenge, previously known as the Hi-Tech Hockey Tournament is now celebrating 16 years. Over $440,000 has been donated to local area children’s charities in Brian Smith’s name. The event receives excellent media coverage with sponsors such as the Ottawa Business Journal, and the Ottawa Sun, as well as a high traffic website and excellent full colour posters, plus key support of the business community from a participant level.

With the correction in the high technology industry the tournament has re-branded itself as a corporate event and fund-raiser, open to all industries.

Funds raised from this special event have benefited many children in our community. Supported groups have been The Ottawa Senators Foundation. CHEO, Ottawa Hospital (Civic Campus) Neo-Natal Unit, are a few of the benefiting groups. This year for the second year in a row we have selected Roger’s House as our benefiting Charity.

Title or Presenting Sponsorships (Negotiable)
Here is a tremendous opportunity for your corporation to purchase the rights to one of the most visible events in the Nation’s Capital Region with an excellent track record and leverage the media exposure this historic event receives from the media partners. Title sponsorship is negotiable.
The tournament receives full colour display ads in the Ottawa Sun thus your exposure covers three levels- personal, sports-minded, and business markets, as well as the provided custom designed radio commercials enhance your corporate image. Exposure continues on such non-traditional media as beautiful glossy colour posters, which lend support to the team fundraising program. Tabloid size (11” x 17”) posters are mounted within various buildings of the corporations participating.
Additional benefits include access to ad placement within the Team Captains Handbooks (5” x 7”), access to event venue signage such as banners or stand ups, ticket exposure includes logos on the event tickets or passes, your company is provided the opportunity to participation in the Hockey Hero All-Star game, significant VIP passes to events, linked website presence, a corporate logo on the all-star jersey, ceremonial presentation opportunities, Event Program cover recognition and much more. Ugly Tie Sponsor $ 350
Why Ugly Tie, because it is fun. Roger wore the ugly ties as a protest when forced by Harold Ballard to conform. The ties have become a symbol of sorts and are part of the Roger’s House logo. They represent to us the challenges to be creative in a competitive world of sponsorship requests.
Your company will be noted on the tournament website, in our thank you ads, and on the tournament posters. You will also receive a very, very special and unique UGLY TIE plaque for your Corporate Wall of Caring!
Additionally, each UGLY TIE SPONSOR is required to provide one major prize of a minimum value of $100, which will be used in our silent auction or as a prize during our lucky wheel draw.
